Narrative Review : Probiotik Sebagai Antijerawat Dalam Sediaan Topikal

Abstract
Jerawat adalah inflamasi kulit kronis yang terjadi pada banyak orang yang disebabkan salah satunya oleh ketidakseimbangan mikrobioma (disbiosis) kulit berupa hiperkolonisasi Cutibacterium acnes. Probiotik mampu menekan patogen dalam saluran pencernaan dan beberapa tahun terakhir telah dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan aktif dalam kosmetik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai potensi produk topikal mengandung probiotik dalam aktivitas sebagai antijerawat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara narrative review dan dilakukan dalam empat tahap yaitu penentuan kata kunci, kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, seleksi literatur, dan analisis hasil. Pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui database elektronik daring seperti Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, dan Wiley Online Library. Dari review yang dilakukan diperoleh data bahwa berbagai jenis probiotik memiliki aktivitas antimikroba, khususnya antijerawat melalui ekskresi hidrogen peroksida, senyawa asam, bakteriosin, dan bacteriocin-like inhibitory substances (BLIS). Probiotik dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kondisi hidup maupun tak hidup, diformulasikan menjadi berbagai jenis sediaan topikal, dan terbukti bermanfaat sebagai antijerawat dengan penggunaan yang sesuai.
