Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General Terms

  1. The manuscript have never been sent, accepted, and/or published in others journal before.
  2. Manuscript must contain at least 4000 words.
  3. The author(s) needs to attach a statement that declaring the manuscript is original and not containing any plagiarism issues.
  4. The manuscript is written in Indonesian with formal style and heed the academic writing rules
  5. The manuscript is sent in .doc format with file size no more than 4 MB.
  6. Size of paper that used in manuscript is A4 with margin 3,5 cm for top, bottom, and left margin. And for the right margin is 0,2 cm.
  7. The manuscript can be uploaded with username that has been registered in our website open journal system.
  8. Editor of Jurnal PolGov have an authority to modify or correcting an error of spelling, writing, or the structure of sentence in the manuscript.

Writing Systematics

  1. Beginning part: title, names of author(s), and abstract.
  2. Main part: introduction, literature review (if have one), methods of research, results of research and discussion, conclusion and suggestion.
  3. Ending part: acknowledgement, affiliation of institution, and financial source.

Title and Author(s) Name

  1. Title of the manuscript needs to be written not above 20 words.
  2. Nama penulis, dituliskan tanpa menggunakan gelar akademik. Ditulis dengan menggunakan huruf kapital, dan tidak boleh disingkat. Urutan penulisannya dimulai dari penulis pertama, kedua, dan seterusnya.
  3. Name of the author(s) does not need to include academic title. Names of the author(s) must be written in uppercase word and not abbreviated. The order of author(s) names are first author, second author, etc.
  4. Affiliation can be written below the author(s) names.

Abstract

  1. Abstract is written in no more than 200 words. Abstract must depict the research question, methods, and results.
  2. Abstract must include keywords consist of 3-5 word that been the core of the research.

Introduction

  1. Introduction must include research background, research question, and hypotheses of the manuscript.
  2. Not written in sub-part or sub-section.
  3. If author has literature review for the research, it is prefereable to put it in this part.
  4. The purpose of the research must be stated clearly in this part.
Conclusion
  1. Conclusion part must include conclusion for the manuscript. If the author(s) wants to give a suggestion, it can be put in this part too. 
  2. Avoid using the same sentence or statement that has used before, in order to avoid repetitiveness.
Reference(s)
  1. All references in manuscript need to follow American Psychological Association (APA) style. We recommend author to use reference tools applications like Mendeley, Zotero, or Endnote. This is some example for reference with APA style:
  • Printed Book: Author, A. A. (Year of Publication). Title of work. Publisher City, State: Publisher.
  • Online Book: Author, A. A. (Year of Publication). Title of work [E-Reader Version]. Retrieved from http://xxxx or doi: xxxx
  • Journal article in print: Author, A. A. (Publication Year). Article Title. Periodical Title, Volume (Issue), pp.-pp.
