Author Guidelines

  • Articles submitted to be published in the SASDAYA journal are to be original and have not been published or accepted for publication in other journals. The submitted manuscript is not indicated to contain elements of plagiarism. 
  • The types of articles received can be research reports (laboratory, field, archive), conceptual ideas, studies, and the application of theory. Sasdaya journal also accepts material in book reviews. The reviewed book should be a new issue or another book that has a significant impact on the development of science and has not been adequately reviewed in other journals.

  • For book review authors, the number of words is between 1000-2000 words. High-quality book cover scans should also be attached.
  • The number of words in the article for the SASDAYA Journal is sent to journal emails in the range of 5,000-8,000 words.
  • The article in Indonesian, the abstract must be in English, and vice versa, the article in English, the abstract must be in Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Authors must use Indonesian and English by applicable standards, for Indonesian standards (PUEBI- General Guidelines for Spelling Bahasa Indonesia) or in English language standards.
  • Articles are written must use Microsoft Word computer application program with an A4 paper format, Palatino Linotype with 12 point font size, single-space (1.0). Left margin, top, right, and bottom respectively 2.5 cm.
  • The first page of the article contains the article title, author's full name, email address, professional status, and author's institution name.
  •  The second page contains the title, abstract (maximum of 150 words), including keywords, with notes, that the article is Indonesian, the abstract should be English, and vice versa, the number of words in the abstract in the range 100-150
  • The next page contains an Introduction, and Discussion or other relevant topics, than Conclusions and References including attachments if any. Title and Paragraph are not numbered. If any of subtitles, make in italic form.
  •  Citation Writing used in the SASDAYA Journal may select one of the citation models applicable to international standard citation systems or those used in writing with a consistent note on a single citation model. The editor does not tolerate the use of two or more citation models in a single journal article in SASDAYA.
 

Guideline for Online Submission

Author should first register as Author and is offered as Reviewer through the following address: https://jurnal.ugm.ac.id/sasdayajournal/user/register. The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: The author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste the cover letter to “Comments for the Editor”.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded. 
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter and signed the Statement of the Originality Form. Therefore, click on the Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to SASDAYA: GMJH journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site. 
After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format (Doc, Docx, RTF).
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

 

  1. Authors transfer and grant to SASDAYA: Gadjah Mada Journal of Humanities (thereafter: SASDAYA) the rights to the publication of their articles fully and simultaneously licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License, which allows readers to share the works by acknowledging authorship and publication credits in this Journal.

  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the Journal (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book or book section), with acknowledgments of its initial publication in this Journal (SASDAYA).

  3. Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are not required to pay the submission fee as part of the submission process to contribute to the management of the Journal. However, If any author, reader, or other institution wants to donate to the management of the journal, we accept it and all will be used for the production process of the journal.

Article Publication: 750000.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs and Journal Management.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
