Introduction
Jurnal Rekayasa Proses (J. Rek. Pros.) is a scientific journal which accommodates current topics related to chemical and biochemical process exploration and optimization. It covers multi scale analysis from micro to macro and full plant size. The work published in J. Rek. Pros includes original experimental research, process simulation, and fundamental chemical engineering concept.
Specialization topics covered by J. Rek. Pros are Kinetics and Catalysis, Separation and Purification System, Process System Engineering, Petroleum, Gas, and Coal Technology, Particle Technology, Mineral Process Engineering, Material and Biomaterial, Bioresource and biomass Engineering, Biochemistry and Bioprocess Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Energy, Water, Environment, and Sustainability.
J. Rek. Pros. publishes communications, original research papers and review articles. Submission of an article to Jurnal Rekayasa Proses implies that the work described has not been published previously or under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles can be written in Indonesian or English using general scientific writing style, scientific conventions and grammar.
Preparation
Journal template
All manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word formats. All papers submitted to Jurnal Rekayasa Proses are checked for compliance before being sent for review. The template for manuscript preparation must be strictly followed and can be accessed in the following link: http://ugm.id/FormatRekpros.
Manuscript structure
Manuscripts are prepared using 1.15 spacing and wide (2.5 cm) margins in the A4 paper size (210 x 297 mm). It is suggested to only using writing features provided by MS Word (bold, italics, subscript, superscript, equation, etc.). For equation, it is accepted to use MathType. The main text is full justified. Ensure that each new paragraph is clearly indicated by paragraph indentation. Tables and figure and their captions are embedded directly in the manuscript.
Manuscripts begin with title, name(s) of author(s), affiliation(s) & address (es), abstract & keywords, followed by contents which include Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Notation (if any), Acknowledgements, and References.
Subdivision - numbered sections
Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1.1 (then 1.1.1, 1.1.2, ...), 1.2, etc. (the abstract, acknowledgements, notation, and references are not included in section numbering).
1. Title, Author Name, Author Affiliation, Author Address, Corresponding Author
a. Title of article must be concise and informative. It is suggested to do not use abbreviations and formulae, that are not widely known.
b. All authors are written below the tittle. Please use a complete name but without academic degree. Indicate all affiliations with a lowercase superscript number immediately after the author's last name. the corresponding author(s) are indicated by superscript symbol.
c. Author affiliation is indicated with a lowercase superscript number which corresponds to author name. Please provide a complete author address including street name, city, and full postal code.
d. Corresponding author will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that the e-mail address is given and that contact details are kept up to date.
2. Abstract and Keywords
a. The abstract should be typed as concise as possible and should be composed of: problem statement, method, scientific finding results, and short conclusion. The number of words is limited to the range of 150-300. An abstract must be able to stand alone. Therefore, reference in the abstract should be avoided. It is suggested to do not use abbreviations and formulae, that are not widely known.
b. Keywords are provided immediately after the abstract. Provide a maximum of 6 (six) keywords. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes. Each keyword is separated by comma (,).
c. Abstract and keywords are written in Indonesian and English.
3. Introduction
Introduction consists of research background, a brief literature review describing state of the art of the research and the objectives of the work.
4. Methodology
In this part, materials and research procedure are written. Methodology must provide sufficient detail to allow to be reproduced. If there is a mathematical formulation/modelling, please give clearly description and evaluation of the model.
5. Results and Discussion
Results should be clear, systematic & constructive and followed directly by comprehensive discussion to support the research objective and conclusions.
Tables
Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. The table is placed next to the relevant text embedded directly in the manuscript. Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text and place the caption above the table.
Figures
Figures are prepared using uniform letter and readable size. Present figures and their captions embedded directly in the manuscript. The caption is numbered in sequence and placed below the figure. You are urged to provide good quality of figure with high resolution format e.g. i) vector graphics (EPS, EMF, PDF), ii) Color or grayscale photographs (halftones), keep to a minimum of 300 dpi (TIFF or JPEG). Please do not supply figures with too low resolution like GIF, BMP and WPG.
6. Conclusions
The main conclusions should be presented in brief and concise. They answer the aim of the study and must be based on the results obtained.
7. Notation
Notation is listed based on an alphabetical order. Greek symbol is written first and then followed by alphabetical label. Please provide an appropriate information and unit for the notation.
8. Acknowledgements
Authors could acknowledge institution providing research funding (with grant number) and individuals who provided help during the research.
9. References
a. Citation in text
References cited in the manuscript are written in following arrangement:
- One author: the last name/family name and publication year.
- Two authors: all last author name/family name (combined with “dan” or “and”) and publication year.
- More than two authors: the last name/family name of the first author followed by “dkk.” or “et al.” and publication year.
Citation is written directly to the main text or in the parenthesis ( ). If there is more than two refences, the order of citation is based on the alphabetical order and then publication year.
Example: ”.... seperti diungkap dalam penelitian terdahulu (Allan, 1996a, 1996b, 1999; Allan and Jones, 1995). Kramer dkk. (2000) baru-baru ini menyatakan bahwa ......”
b. Reference template
References are written using Jurnal Rekayasa Proses format. It is suggested to use reference manager like Mendeley or EndNote. The reference style depends on the type of references e.g. journal, conference proceeding, book and book chapter. References are listed in the alphabetical order.
