Focus and Scope

Starting from our June 2024 issue, Jurnal Mimbar Hukum is interested in submissions focusing on the dialectics in theory, philosophy, and law. This may include:
- Critical analysis of the principles, theories, and philosophies of law (jurisprudence)
- Critical analysis of principles, theories, and philosophies of other fields towards law.
- A combination thereof, analyzed comparatively.
The aforementioned can be manifested in theoretical explorations, evaluating regulations or legal systems, or case studies.
It is not sufficient for manuscripts to merely apply said theories and philosophies as part of their analysis. Rather, the manuscript should have these theories and philosophies at the center of the discussion, which would necessitate it being featured in the title and abstract.
While we accept monodisciplinary research in law, we also highly encourage multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research as long as a strong variable in the research is still a law analysis as per the scope and focus explained above.
Manuscripts submitted on and after 15 February 2023 will have to conform to this new scope and focus.

Mimbar Hukum is applying the double blind review process. The authors are welcome to suggest at least three potential reviewers along with name and their email address. However, the decision to determine the appropriate reviewers is right of editor. The approved gallery proof of manuscript will early view online as early as possible upon received from author and final proof reading by editor in chief.
Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are not allowed. A software tool may be used so that the submitted articles are screened for plagiarism. Detection of overlapping and similar text is used there and so quotations and appropriate citations have to be used whenever required. It is basically author’s duty to only submit a manuscript that is free from plagiarism and academically malpractices. The editor, however, double checks each article before its publication. The first step is to check plagiarism against offline database by Mimbar Hukum Editorial Board and, secondly, against as much as possible online databases.

DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
