Pengaruh Eccentric Exercise terhadap Peningkatan Kemampuan Fungsional pada Kondisi Achilles Tendinopathy: Tinjauan Kritis

Abstract


Latar   Belakang: Achilles tendinopathy (AT) merupakan cidera yang sering terjadi dengan prevalensi kejadian pada atlet diperkirakan sebesar 6,2-9,5% dan pada non atlet sebesar 11,83 tiap 100 pasien per hari. Salah satu latihan yang dapat dilakukan setelah mengalami achilles tendinopathy adalah eccentric exercise atau disebut juga the alfredson protocol.

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh eccentric exercise terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional pada kondisi achilles tendinopathy

Metode: Metode ini menggunakan desain critical review dengan mengidentifikasi berdasarkan kata kunci, kemudian melakukan review artikel dengan syarat inklusi artikel menggunakan metode Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) dan dianalisis menggunakan PICO. Terdapat sepuluh artikel yang didapatkan dari basis pencarian data primer seperti pada Biomedic Database (PubMed), Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro), Science Direct, NCBI, Jane Biosemantics, dan Portal Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital). Appraisal dilakukan dengan merujuk pada hasil PEDro scale. Review ini menggunakan artikel dengan periode waktu dari 2012‒2022.

Hasil: Hasil dari tinjauan sepuluh artikel didapatkan bahwa pada kondisi AT terdapat peningkatan kemampuan fungsional berdasarkan Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment Achilles Tendinopathy Questionnaire (VISA-A) setelah diberikan eccentric exercise.

Kesimpulan: Eccentric exercise memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional pada kondisi achilles tendinopathy
