Pengaruh Pemberian Susu Kedelai terhadap Penurunan Keluhan Sindrom Premenstruasi pada Remaja

Abstract


Latar Belakang: Premenstrual syndrom (PMS) merupakan ketidaknyamanan yang dialami wanita usia produktif menjelang menstruasi akibat mekanisme hormonal yang seringkali mengganggu aktivitas dan produktifitas hariannya. Suplementasi susu kedelai yang mengandung fitoestrogen diharapkan dapat menyeimbangkan kadar hormon estrogen tubuh, sehingga dapat menurunkan ketidaknyamanan PMS.

Tujuan: Menganalisis pengaruh pemberian susu kedelai terhadap penurunan keluhan PMS pada remaja.

Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment pre-post with control group design. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswi SMAN 6 Yogyakarta kelas XI. Teknik pemilihan sampel adalah simple random sampling. Subyek penelitian terbagi atas kelompok perlakuan (mendapatkan suplementasi susu kedelai setiap hari selama fase luteal dalam 1 siklus) dan kelompok kontrol (mendapatkan susu kedelai 1 minggu sekali selama 1 siklus). Susu kedelai yang digunakan sebanyak 300 cc yang mengandung 49,7 mg/L flavonoid. PMS diukur menggunakan Menstrual Health Questionnaire (MHQ). Data yang telah diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji Anova (α=5%).

Hasil: Kelompok perlakuan mengalami median penurunan lebih besar dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (median 7,00 vs 6,00) dengan analisis beda penurunan keluhan menstruasi antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan yang tidak bermakna (nilai p = 0,951).

Kesimpulan: Suplementasi susu kedelai tidak berpengaruh terhadap penurunan keluhan PMS pada remaja.
