Abstract


Latar Belakang: Penggunaan alat pelindung pendengaran telah direkomendasikan meskipun dalam praktiknya banyak pekerja tidak menggunakannya selama bekerja.

Tujuan: Mengukur asosiasi antara pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan dengan penggunaan alat pelindung pendengaran pada pekerja bagian pengolahan kelapa sawit.

Metode: Studi ini merupakan studi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada 61 pekerja bagian pengolahan kelapa sawit di Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Kebun Cot Girek, Aceh Utara dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi Square dan uji regresi logistik.

Hasil: Mayoritas pekerja memiliki pengetahuan baik (90,2%), sikap yang positif (55,7%), dan tindakan yang baik (80,3%). Sebagian besar pekerja telah menggunakan alat pelindung pendengaran selama bekerja (70,5%). Hasil uji Chi Square menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan (0,036), sikap (0,025), dan tindakan (0,015) berkaitan dengan penggunaan alat pelindung pendengaran oleh pekerja, sedangkan dari hasil uji regresi didapatkan data bahwa tindakan merupakan faktor paling dominan dan dapat diprediksikan bahwa pekerja dengan tindakan baik 4,6 kali lebih mungkin menggunakan alat pelindung pendengaran.

Kesimpulan: Studi ini menyimpulkan faktor pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan berkontribusi signifikan pada penggunaan alat pelindung pendengaran. Disarankan agar perusahaan mengadakan pelatihan dan penyuluhan rutin tentang pentingnya penggunaan alat pelindung pendengaran agar timbul kesadaran pada setiap pekerja untuk lebih memperhatikan keselamatan selama bekerja.
