Efek Akupunktur Telinga dengan Press Needle terhadap Kecemasan Pasien yang Menjalani Prosedur Esofagogastroduodenoskopi

Abstract
Latar Belakang: Prosedur invasif seperti esofagogastroduodenoskopi (EGD) dapat menimbulkan kekhawatiran dan kecemasan pada pasien. Diperlukan intervensi tambahan seperti pemberian obat sedasi, intervensi perilaku atau akupunktur untuk membuat pasien tenang dan rileks.
Tujuan: Mengetahui efektivitas tindakan press needle di titik akupunktur telinga terhadap kecemasan pasien yang menjalani prosedur EGD
Metode: Penelitian randomized controlled trial ini melibatkan 40 pasien yang menjalani EGD tanpa sedasi. Pasien dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok perlakuan yang diberikan perangsangan menggunakan press needle di titik akupunktur telinga dan kelompok kontrol yang diberikan jarum placebo. Titik telinga yang dipilih adalah shenmen, relaksasi, dan zero point. Penelitian dilakukan di Pusat Endoskopi Saluran Cerna, RS Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, Jakarta. Pasien mengisi kuesioner Spielberger State Anxiety Inventory (SAI) sebelum intervensi dan 10 menit setelah endoskopi selesai melalui wawancara langsung. Perbedaan skor SAI sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dianalisis menggunakan uji paired t-test atau mann whitney.
Hasil: Skor SAI kelompok perlakuan antara sebelum dan sesudah EGD terdapat penurunan yang bermakna (man whitney p=0,003). Rerata selisih skor SAI kelompok perlakuan lebih besar bermakna dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (man whitney p<0,001)
Kesimpulan: Aplikasi press needle di titik akupunktur telinga shenmen, relaksasi, dan zero point membantu menurunkan kecemasan pasien selama prosedur EGD yang diukur mengunakan kuesioner SAI
