JKAP (Jurnal Kebijakan dan Administrasi Publik), with registered number ISSN 0852-9213 (print), ISSN 2477-4693 (online) is a periodical journal conducted by a team under Institute of Governance and Public Affairs (IGPA), Public Policies and Administrations Master Program, Faculty of Social and Politic Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. It was established since 1996.
This journal publishes research results related to public policies and administrations. It also publishes reviews with the themes that are decided by the editorial staff of JKAP.
- JKAP (Jurnal Kebijakan dan Administrasi Publik) has been accredited as a scientific journal with B predicate by Directorate of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, the Republic of Indonesia based on DECISION OF THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF HIGHER EDUCATION NUMBER: 39/DIKTI/Kep/2004 PERIOD: 2004-2009.
- Based on the Decree of the General Director of Strengthening the Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 36b/E/KPT/2016, JKAP was designated as an Accredited Scientific Journal (SINTA 2) (2016-2021)
JKAP has been currently indexed by both national and international indexer institutions such as: DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journal - International), Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD - National), Indonesian Publication Index (IPI - National), Google Scholar (International), and Indonesia One Search (National) and several other indexer institutions.
JKAP has made a major contribution in supporting the realisation of bureaucratic reformation and good governance sounding so loud so far in the scope of government and public policies in Indonesia. Therefore, the issuances of JKAP officially need to be supported. As the result, it will lead the studies which have both significant and critical discourse on the development of public services can be disseminated simultaneously. The supports for the publication of JKAP are an absolute requirement to keep its existence well and to make the dream of UGM to become world-class universities true.
Starting from 2016 and the following years, the manuscript submission process and any other management process related to the article or manuscript will be completely administered by online through the website of JKAP. The consequence of this full online process is there will be some publication delays and fewer articles. Therefore, the JKAP management will add six (6) peer reviewers and one (1) editor board as a part of the commitment to improve the quality of the journal publishing and also the online management of JKAP.
In May 2016, JKAP becomes one of the journals that were given a financial support by the electronic journals division under the Directorate of Higher Education for the category of national journals. Thus, one of the proposed programs is the development oh the look of the website. It resulted that the JKAP website has now become even better.
Furthermore, JKAP committed to being registered in the CrossRef so that each article will have a DOI and be indexed by the International indexer institutions. Moreover, JKAP also committed hard towards international-level journal.
