Tri Adi Sumbogo is a Postgraduate Student in Communication Program at Universitas Indonesia. His research explores the cultural activism of local film practices in Great Banyumas, Central Java, Indonesia for his dissertation work. In the last seven years, he works as a lecturer and researcher at Binus University, Jakarta. His research interest surrounds the topics of Community Development Issues, Sustainability Issues, Cultural and Media Studies.

Nina Mutmainnah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Indonesia. Some of her main subjects are Media Studies, Media Policy and Regulation, and Media Effect.
IKAT: The Indonesian Journal of Southeast Asian Studies is collaborating with Pacific Journalism Review (PJR), published by the Pacific Media Centre, School of Communication Studies, Auckland University of Technology, Aotearoa, New Zealand, for special joint editions on media, climate change, and maritime disasters in July 2018.
