Multiple Stress Management Intervention (MSMI) untuk Meningkatkan Koping Stres pada Mahasiswa

Abstract


Stres merupakan reaksi yang perlu dikelola agar tidak memberikan dampak psikologis yang berat pada individu. Berbagai studi telah dilakukan untuk menemukan cara intervensi meningkatkan koping stres. Multiple Stress Management Intervention (MSMI) merupakan suatu desain intervensi kelompok yang telah dikembangkan untuk mahasiswa di Iran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas MSMI pada mahasiswa Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan desain single-case dan melibatkan enam mahasiswa (usia rata-rata = 19,8). Screening awal dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi pra-intervensi, kemudian intervensi pelatihan sebanyak 6 sesi diberikan untuk menguji perubahan kondisi partisipan (A-B-A’). Coping Response Inventory diberikan untuk mengukur tingkat koping stres partisipan sebelum, saat, dan setelah intervensi. Studi ini menunjukkan efektivitas intervensi terhadap coping stres mahasiswa. Implikasi studi ini terhadap pengembangan MSMI didiskusikan lebih lanjut dalam penelitian ini.
