Gambaran Compassion Fatigue dan Compassion Satisfaction Pada Rescuer BASARNAS (Studi pada Rescuer BASARNAS Kantor SAR Jakarta)

Abstract


Badan SAR Nasional (BASARNAS) bertugas menangani kondisi yang membahayakan manusia seperti bencana alam sehingga beresiko mengalami permasalahan psikologis dari medan berbahaya, situasi krisis-traumatis, serta durasi bekerja yang panjang-tanpa jeda. Kondisi tersebut menjadi faktor pendukung yang memungkinkan rescuer mengalami Compassion Fatigue dan Compassion Satisfaction yang dapat memengaruhi Professional Quality of Life mereka. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendapatkan gambaran Compassion Fatigue dan Compassion Satisfaction pada rescuer Basarnas, sedangkan metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Mixed Method. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 32 rescuer Basarnas di Kantor SAR Jakarta. Partisipan diberikan ProQoL-V Scale untuk mengukur Compassion Fatigue dan Compassion Satisfaction dan Big Five Inventory untuk melihat gambaran ciri sifat kepribadian, kemudian mengikuti FGD dan wawancara individual. Teknik Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif, sementara data kualitatif dengan metode content analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor Compassion Fatigue berada pada rentang rendah sampai rata-rata, namun, skor rendah pada Compassion Fatigue tidak diikuti dengan skor tinggi pada Compassion Satisfaction. Adanya penghayatan pengalaman yang berasal dari work, client, dan person-environment, berperan sebagai faktor pendukung, sekaligus faktor risiko. Dampak psikologis yang dialami, di antaranya: kelelahan, gambaran buruk yang berulang, dan kecenderungan menjadi protektif yang mengganggu keseharian dan pekerjaan. Oleh sebab itu, pengetahuan dan psikoedukasi psikologis dibutuhkan sebagai upaya menjaga Professional Quality of Life para rescuers Basarnas.
