Melintasi Gerbang Kreativitas: Langendriyan pada Era Mengkoenagoro V Hingga Mangkoenagoro VII
Abstract
Abstract
Langendriyan is an art that originally grew in Yogyakarta, but developed specifically into a distinctive art and pride of the Mangkunegaran Duchy. This art is a dance that is characterized by the combination of movement and sound elements. Langendriyan that developed in Mangkunegaran was then called Langendriyan Mangkunegaran style which was born in the era of Mangkoenagoro IV. The purpose of this article is to find out how the ups and downs of Langendriyan in the leadership era of Mangkoenagoro V to Mangkoenagoro VII. This article uses historical methods and qualitative methods. The sources used are primary sources as well as journals and books relevant to the article. From the research that has been done, it is known that langendriyan has undergone changes in development that adjust the internal and especially external circumstances of the duchy. In the era of Mangkoenagoro V, langendriyan experienced updates in dance composition and clothing. Then in the era of Mangkoenagoro VI, langendriyan faded due to the unstable internal and external conditions of the duchy. Langendriyan triumphed again in the era of Mangkoenagoro VII when there were significant updates in dance composition, movement, sound, and accessibility for people outside the duchy.

Langendriyan merupakan kesenian yang mulanya tumbuh di Yogyakarta, tetapi berkembang secara khusus menjadi kesenian khas dan kebanggaan Kadipaten Mangkunegaran. Kesenian ini merupakan seni tari yang memiliki ciri khas pada perpaduan unsur gerak dan unsur suara. Langendriyan yang berkembang di Mangkunegaran kemudian disebut dengan Langendriyan
gaya Mangkunegaran yang lahir di era Mangkoenagoro IV. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pasang surut Langendriyan di era kepemimpinan Mangkoenagoro V hingga Mangkoenagoro VII. Artikel ini
menggunakan metode sejarah dan metode kualitatif. Sumber yang digunakan adalah sumber-sumber primer serta jurnal dan buku yang relevan dengan artikel. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diketahui bahwa langendriyan telah mengalami perubahan dalam perkembangan yang menyesuaikan keadaan internal dan terutama eksternal kadipaten. Pada era Mangkoenagoro
V, langendriyan mengalami pembaruan pada susunan tari serta busana. Lalu di era Mangkoenagoro VI, langendriyan meredup akibat kondisi internal dan eksternal kadipaten yang tidak stabil. Langendriyan kembali berjaya di era Mangkoenagoro VII ketika terjadi pembaruan signifikan pada susunan tari, gerak, suara, hingga aksesibilitas bagi masyarakat di luar kadipaten.
