Abstract

Having been qualified as extraordinary crimes, punishment against corruption and terrorism crimes should be severe and maximum. The Indonesian correctional system recognises remission as prisoner’s rights. The retaliation/deterrent theory has been abandoned and forgotten in many countries, including Indonesia, for it is deemed to be contravening humanity values.
