DETERMINANTS OF ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: AN EXAMINATION OF NON-TRADITIONAL PERSPECTIVES

Abstract
Paradigma fungsionalis telah lama mondominasi penelitian dalam bidang struktur organisasi. Jawaban yang diberikan oleh paradigma ini terhadap pertanyaan "apa yang menjadi faktor penentu struktur organisasional" adalah lingkungan. teknologi dan besaran organisasi. Artikel ini mempunyai dua tujuan: (1) untuk mongupas aplikasi empat paradigma yang berbeda dalam penelitian struktur organisasi dan (2) untuk membahas tiga perspektif alternatif (strategic choice, social action theory, dan sociology of organizational structure) terhadap paradigma tradisional. Dengan menerapkan tipologi paradigma Burrell dan Morgan (1979), tinjauan dipusatkan pada identifikasi berbagai faktcr pensntu struktur organisasional alternatif.
