PENYEDIAAN RUANG TERBUKA HIJAU DI LINGKUNGAN PERUMAHAN DI YOGYAKARTA (The Provision of Green Open Space in Housing Complexes in Yogyakarta)

Lingkungan atau komplek perumahan saat ini banyak dibangun oleh para pengembang swasta di berbagai tempat di Yogyakarta. Salah satu fasilitas yang perlu disediakan oleh lingkungan perumahan tersebut adalah ruang-ruang terbuka hijau. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mendokumentasikan pengadaan dar pemanfaatan ruang terbuka hijau di lingkungan perumahan, khususnya jenis, kondisi, pemanfaatan dan jenis tanaman ruang terbuka hijau. Dengan memakai 9 lingkungun perumahan sebagai studi kasus, penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa hal, yaitu: (l) tidak semua lingkungan perumahan memiliki ruang terbuka hijau. (2) lingkungan perumahan kelas atas cenderung lebih banyak menyediakan ruang terbuka hijau daripada lingkungan perumahan kelas menengah. (3) alokasi lahan untuk ruang terbuka hijau belum menjadi perhatian (4) pemanfaatanr ruang terbuka hijau belum optimal. (5) serta pemilihan jenis tanaman cenderung lebih memperhatikan faktor estetika. 

ABSTRACT

Presently, a number of housing complexes has been built in many areas in Yogyakarta. Green open space is one of many facilities in a housing complexes which should be provided by developers. Based on this fact this study intends to identify and document the provision and use of vegetation. Selecting 9 housing complexes as the case studies, the results of this study are: (1) not all housing complexes have all types of green open space as being required; (2) high class housing complexes tend to provide more green open spaces facility to the residents than one which is provided by the middle class of housing complexes; (3) land allocation for green open spaces has not been taken into consideration; (4) the use of green open space has not been optimum; (5) and types of vegetation are more for beautification of the complex.
